Our integral coaching methodology was developed by New Ventures West and uses the following process.

  1. Intake involves asking questions across four domains of life (see quadrants below) to learn how clients are paying attention and achieving results, as well as where opportunities for leadership development exist.

Social
  • Culture & Society

  • Business & Organizations

  • Relationships & Conversations

  • Social Identity

Personal
  • Vision & Purpose

  • Beliefs & Emotions

  • Will & Self-Discipline

  • Self-Awareness & Personal Identity

Physical
  • Science

  • Nature

  • Art

  • Time

Somatic
  • Body Shape & Stance

  • Behavior & Habits

  • Energy & Pace

  • Physical Practices

Adapted from New Ventures West's Integral "Four Quadrants" Model

  1. Assessment involves evaluating "What is central?" What keeps showing up in all four domains?  What competency is being overplayed?  What new competencies would provide more choice and fulfillment?

  2. Program Design involves creating a purpose statement and behavioral outcomes oriented around new leadership competencies and assigning relevant readings, self observations, exercises, and practices.

  3. Program Delivery involves reviewing an 8-10 page leadership development program, answering questions, discussing fit, and identifying resources to support program completion.

  4. Coaching Sessions involve 1-2 hours of time, weekly or bi-weekly, to check in on progress, work through challenges, and make changes as needed to the leadership development program.

  5. Completion of coaching involves acknowledgement by colleagues as well as client that coaching outcomes have been achieved.
